Police are dealing with an incident at the Tesco Express petrol station in Nuthall Road.
At 7.45pm, a police spokeswoman confirmed to the Post that police were on the scene but said they could not say any more about the ongoing incident.
A shopkeeper at nearby BP garage, further up Nuthall Road, said his customers had mentioned the incident.
He said: "My customers told me about it."They said they have seen lots of police cars there, and an ambulance."
