Two masked men beat a security guard over the head and threatened petrol station staff with a gun and a knife before running off through nearby woodland with a haul of cash.
The robbers hit Tesco Express, in Nuthall Road, Cinderhill, at 6.30pm on Thursday, January 28, before making off in the direction of New College Nottingham's Basford Hall campus and Basford Miners' Welfare.
The security guard was hurt in the attack but was not thought he was seriously injured.
